Support for Your ECO Plan

Employees commuting

DEQ's ECO Rule asks your company to take a closer look at the way your employees get to work and to make changes where needed. This can be a daunting prospect. Fortunately, TriMet is here to help with an array of services your company can use to comply with the ECO Rule.

Surveying employees

Your TriMet marketing representative can provide survey forms and ideas to help you achieve the required 75% response rate. TriMet will also process your surveys and give you an easy-to-read analysis of the results—all at no cost to you. 

Setting trip reduction targets

With the results of your survey, your company can:

  • Establish a baseline measurement of how your employees currently get to work
  • Determine your auto trip reduction target for ECO compliance
  • Identify incentives that can encourage your employees to try alternative commute methods

ECO transportation plan

A TriMet marketing representative can work with you to develop a transportation plan for your worksite(s), based on your company's survey results and its unique characteristics. Elements may include transit and other commute options, Emergency Ride Home services and more. This can be the basis for the commute trip reduction plan that you will file with DEQ for approval.

Promotional materials

Carpool brochures and matching forms, transit maps and schedules, bike brochures, new employee kits and other alternative commuting information are all available free to you and your employees. Just ask your TriMet marketing representative.
