WES Emergency Instructions
In the event of an emergency that requires evacuating WES, please follow our simple rules. Your best protection in an emergency is to remain calm, think clearly and follow the instructions of TriMet personnel.
Always report emergencies to TriMet personnel and listen for announcements and instructions.
Fire
- Move to an unaffected car
- Remain inside
- Follow instructions from TriMet personnel and emergency workers
Medical
- If a passenger is in distress, notify TriMet personnel immediately
- If you are medically qualified and able to assist, identify yourself
Police
- Report to TriMet personnel any unlawful or suspicious activity
- WES personnel will notify the police
Emergency evacuation
- Follow instructions from TriMet personnel and emergency responders
- At doors: open the emergency exit panel and follow the instructions inside
- At windows: follow the instructions posted on or next to the emergency exit window
