With your valid TriMet fare, you can transfer between buses, MAX, WES and Streetcar to complete your trip. On the bus, if you pay in cash or use an unvalidated ticket, the operator will give you a transfer receipt (shown at right). Transfer receipts are valid for at least 1 hour past the last scheduled stop or Downtown on weekdays or 2 hours past the last scheduled stop or Downtown on weekends. Learn more about transfers
* When you validate (time-stamp) a ticket at a MAX or WES station, it is good for 2 hours. The expiration time is printed on the ticket. When you pay with an unvalidated ticket or with cash on the bus, the operator will give you a transfer receipt valid for at least 1 hour past the last scheduled stop or Downtown on weekdays and 2 hours past the last scheduled stop or Downtown on weekends.
