Medical Transportation Program
TriMet's Medical Transportation Program (MTP) provides free rides to covered medical appointments for Oregon Health Plan (OHP) Plus members.
Eligibility requirements
To qualify for service you must be currently eligible for OHP Plus and have no other transportation options available.
Types of vehicles used
Depending on your needs, transportation may be provided by bus, taxi, accessible van, secure transport or stretcher car.
How it works
Rides may be scheduled between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
We do not provide emergency transportation, but same-day rides may be scheduled with verification from an attending physician or medical facility.
Next-day rides are scheduled until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The MTP Rider's Guide provides complete information on the scheduling process.
