Bus Stop Opera Comes to Portland

Performances scheduled May 14 - 17, 2010

Don't be surprised if you're sitting on a bench, waiting for your bus and the person next to you bursts into song. It's Bus Stop Opera.

In conjunction with the Open Engagement symposium at Portland State University, TriMet is hosting Bus Stop Opera, a performance troupe that takes situations and conversations gathered during the everyday commute on public transportation, turns them into mini-operas and performs them at transit stops. The project is a celebration of everyday lives and public transit. The performers will also use TriMet to travel between their performance locations.
