Portland Marathon means TriMet delays

Up to 15 minute delays on Oct. 9

The Portland Marathon will cause minor delays for MAX and 17 bus lines running in downtown and N/NE Portland on Sunday, Oct. 9.

TriMet impacts

Riders should expect 10-15 minute delays from about 7 a.m. until mid-afternoon on TriMet routes, especially in these areas:

  • Buses traveling on or across the Portland Mall at SW 5th and 6th avenues.
  • Buses crossing the Steel Bridge.
  • SW Portland buses around or crossing the Ross Island Bridge.
  • North & Northeast Portland buses near the marathon route.
  • Along the Interstate MAX Yellow Line in North Portland

  • 6-Martin Luther King Jr Blvd
  • 8-15th Ave.
  • 10-33rd Ave
  • 14-Hawthorne
  • 15-NW 23rd Ave
  • 17-21st Ave/St Helens Rd
  • 33-McLoughlin
  • 35-Macadam
  • 40-Mocks Crest
  • 43-Taylors Ferry Rd
  • 54/56-Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy/Scholls Ferry Rd
  • 63-Washington Park
  • 72-Killingsworth/82nd Ave
  • 77-Broadway/Halsey
  • 83-Park Blocks
