Forest Grove resident joins TriMet budget committee
Advisory group provides independent budget input
Mark D. Lewis of Forest Grove has been appointed by the TriMet Board of Directors to its seven-member Citizens Advisory Committee on the Budget established by the agency to give independent input on the budget.
Lewis has nearly 15 years of accounting and consulting experience in both the public and private sectors. He is currently the medical billing manager for the Multnomah County Department of Health in Portland. Previously, Lewis was senior consultant for Bearing Point in Bethesda, Md. and accounts payable manager for Booz Allen Hamilton in Herndon, Va. He also worked as senior accountant for Becton Dickinson in Timonium, Md. And was a staff accountant for the American Bar Association in Washington D.C.
Lewis is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and of the National Black MBA Association. He earned an MBA from Johns Hopkins University with a graduate certificate in diversity management. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Hampton University.
CAC board members serve three-year terms.
