Rose Festival Fleet arrivals cause traffic delays
Ships Arrive June 7 & 8
About a dozen ships coming to Portland for the Rose Festival may mean MAX and bus delays up to 20 minutes on Wednesday and Thursday, June 7 and 8. The lifts are scheduled between 1-4 p.m. on both days. If the ships cannot make it into Portland Harbor by 4 p.m., the bridge lifts will continue after 6 p.m.
During the lifts, all MAX trains (Blue, Red and Yellow lines) may need to drop riders at the Old Town and Rose Quarter stations and turn back. Shuttle buses will be available to take MAX riders across the river, but they will have limited options if several bridges are raised at the same time. TriMet staff will assist riders at the Old Town and Rose Quarter stations.

Airport MAX shuttle
During bridge lifts, MAX riders traveling to the airport may board an airport shuttle bus at the Old Town Transit Station that will take them directly to the airport. Riders should schedule extra travel time for their trip.
Ships departure June 12
All ships will be departing the harbor on Monday, June 12th. Most are schedule to leave Portland between 6 and 8 a.m. The final three ships will leave following rush hour, at 9 a.m. Riders can expect 5 - 10 minute delays due to bridge lifts.
