NE 33rd overpass construction reroutes buses

Shuttle service added; changes begin Sunday

Due to reconstruction of the NE 33rd Ave. Lombard overpass two TriMet bus lines will be detoured and a shuttle will be added to serve riders north of Columbia & 21st. The detours start Sunday, March 12 and will be in effect until the rebuild is finished in October 2006.

Line 10-NE 33rd Ave

Line 10-NE 33rd Ave buses will travel their regular route to NE 33rd and Dekum. A detour will take the buses on Dekum to 27th to Saratoga. Eight Line 10 stops will not be served between 33rd Ave. & Dekum and Columbia & 21st. The Line 75 will serve four of the westbound stops instead. The four eastbound stops will no longer be served.

75-39th Ave/Lombard

Eastbound 75-39th Ave/Lombard buses will travel their regular routes to Dekum & 32nd, and then travel on Lombard to 42nd Ave. Eastbound buses will not serve the stop at Dekum & 33rd or stops on Columbia Blvd.

Westbound 75-39th Ave/Lombard buses to St Johns will use the current route to NE Columbia Blvd & 33rd Ave, then continue on Columbia Blvd. to Lombard, rejoining the current route at NE Lombard & Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Westbound buses will not serve about a dozen stops along Dekum and on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Line 75 buses will serve Line 10 stops on NE Columbia Blvd. between 33rd and 24th.

Sunderland Shuttle

TriMet will run shuttle service from NE 27th & Saratoga, carrying riders to NE 33rd & Sunderland. The shuttle will serve stops on Dekum and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. not served by the Line 75.
