Portland Marathon means TriMet delays

Up to 15 minute delays on Oct. 7

On Sunday, Oct. 7, the Portland Marathon will cause 10-15 minute delays for MAX and 20 bus lines running in downtown and N/NE Portland from about 7 a.m. until mid-afternoon. Numerous bus stops will be closed during the event with signs directing riders to nearby available stops.

TriMet impacts
Riders should expect 10-15 minute delays especially in these areas:
· Buses traveling on or across 3rd and 4th avenues from Union Station to Portland State University
· Buses crossing the Hawthorne, Morrison and Steel bridges
· Buses around or crossing the Ross Island Bridge
· N/NE Portland buses between the St John’s Bridge and the Steel Bridge

These bus lines will have detours and delays during the marathon:
