Lynn Lehrbach appointed to TriMet Board
Represents East Multnomah County district
East County resident Lynn Lehrbach has been appointed to a four-year term on the TriMet Board of Directors. Lehrbach will represent District 6, which covers East Multnomah County.
Lehrbach is a 25-year Representative for the Teamsters Union. Lehrbach is responsible for coordinating the negotiations, the organizing and also the political activities at both the federal and state level for nine local unions representing about 40,000 members in Oregon and southwest Washington. He is also an International Teamster Representative for construction on the West Coast.
Lehrbach is interested in finding solutions to issues related to traffic congestion in the metro area.
He is the chairman of the Teamster/AGC Health & Welfare Trust for Oregon and southwest Washington. Lehrbach is also the 2nd Vice President of the Northwest Oregon Labor Council and serves as Chairman of the Oregon State Fair Contracting Association. Lehrbach attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
The governor-appointed, unpaid, seven-member Tri-Met board sets policy for the agency, as well as appoints the general manager, implements legislation pertaining to transit operations, and reviews and approves certain contracts. Board members can serve up to two, four-year terms. Lehrbach fills the seat formerly held by Multnomah County Sheriff Bernie Guisto.
