Bike Parking on the Portland Mall
As part of the MAX Green Line project, we added about 130 short-term bike parking spaces along 5th and 6th avenues and on adjacent blocks. This provides more capacity for cyclists who also ride buses and trains on their commute.
New staple-shaped racks, providing
64 additional parking spaces, have been
added
to streets that cross 5th and 6th avenues.
Bike oases
"Bike oases" have been installed at several locations along the Mall. A bike oasis is a group of bike racks that are covered to provide shelter from the weather. You'll find an oasis at or near:
- SW 5th & Columbia
- SW 5th & Yamhill
- SW 6th & Washington
- NW 6th & Couch

PSU Bike Co-Op
Starting in September 2009, 28 indoor bike parking spaces will be available to the public for a small monthly fee at the Portland State University Bike Co-Op. Bike parking will be open to registered users 24 hours a day, seven days a week, via keycard access.
