Cedar Mill Shuttle
A reservation-based transportation service
TriMet's Cedar Mill Shuttle provides weekday rush-hour service to the Sunset Transit Center for people who live within the following boundaries:
- NW Thompson Road to the north
- NW Cornell Road to the south
- NW 107th to the east
- NW 143rd to the west
Developed in partnership with the Cedar Mill community, the Shuttle uses 12-passenger accessible vans instead of conventional full-size buses due to the topography of the area.
Hours of operation
The Shuttle's hours of operation are 6-9 a.m. and 3-7 p.m. weekdays. It does not run on weekends or holidays.
How to reserve a ride
- If you have the same schedule every week, you can subscribe for regular pick-up times. Just complete the Cedar Mill Shuttle Registration Form and we'll contact you to confirm your pick-up times. (This option is ideal for commuters.)
- If your schedule varies, but you know at least a day in advance when you will need a ride, call ahead to schedule a pick-up. Call us at 503-962-7616 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. We will attempt to return your call by 9 p.m. the same day.
- If you need same-day service, call the Shuttle operator directly at 503-710-6839. Shuttle phones are in service from 5:30-9 a.m. and 2:30-7 p.m. Same-day rides are subject to availability.
Riding the shuttle
- To help the Shuttle stay on schedule, the operator will wait up to one minute after arriving at your address.
- Please be ready at least 10 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time and be prepared to wait up to 10 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time for the Shuttle to arrive.
- Cedar Mill Shuttle vehicles are equipped with lifts for people using mobility devices.
- Unfortunately, Cedar Mill Shuttle vehicles are not able to transport bicycles.
Fares
All TriMet fares are valid on the Cedar Mill Shuttle, including tickets, transfer receipts and passes, plus Honored Citizen and Youth/Student discounts (with proper identification). Please have exact fare, as operators cannot make change.
If you pay with cash or a ticket, the operator will give you a transfer receipt that is good on all TriMet buses, MAX and the Portland Streetcar until the time torn at the top.
Canceling a ride
- To cancel or change regular service, or cancel a scheduled pick-up more than a day in advance, please call 503-962-7616 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
- If you must cancel the same day as your scheduled pick-up, please call the Shuttle operator directly at 503-710-6839.
- Customers who are "no shows" for scheduled pick-ups more than three times may be excluded from future service.
