83-Washington Park Loop
TriMet’s Line 83-Washington Park Loop is a quick and convenient way to travel to the outstanding attractions at Washington Park–and it’s free this year.
Line 83-Washington Park Loop begins weekend service on May 3, then runs daily Memorial Day through Labor Day. Weekend-only service continues through September and October.
The Line 83-Washington Park Loop runs on a one-way loop through the park, stopping at Providence Park MAX Station, Washington Park MAX Station and most of the attractions in the park. Both MAX stations are served by the Blue and Red lines, and the Line 63-Washington Park/Arlington Heights bus.
During the summer of 2014, rides around Washington Park on Line 83 are free–sponsored by Portland Parks & Recreation.
Service alert in effect:
Beginning September 3, the Sunset Transit Center MAX Station will be closed for about 16 days. MAX trains will run through the station but will not pick up or drop off riders. For riders wanting to begin or end their MAX trips at Sunset, shuttle buses will be carrying riders between Sunset Transit Center and Washington Park or Beaverton Transit Center for transfers to trains.
