Portland's Vintage Trolley

Enjoy a free ride on Sundays

From the first Sunday in March, through the Sunday before Christmas Day, old-style trolleys run Sundays only along the MAX tracks on the Portland Transit Mall. First passenger pick-up will be at around 10:33 a.m. at Union Station/NW 5th & Glisan St Station.

Trolleys run every 30 minutes, and a round trip takes about 20 minutes. Vintage Trolleys are not accessible to people using mobility devices as there are three steps to board the trolley. Rides are free, but donations are accepted.

About the Trolley

In 1991, Vintage Trolley, Inc., reintroduced trolley service to Portland with working replicas of the historic Council Crest streetcars that ran along Portland streets from 1904 to 1950. Learn more about the history of rail transit in Portland.
