Flying out of PDX? It’s easy to take the train to the plane.
TriMet’s MAX Red Line is a convenient and inexpensive way to get to and from Portland International Airport.
Catch a Red Line train at any station between Beaverton Transit Center and the airport.
You can park for free at a Park & Ride lot, but remember there’s a 24-hour limit, and it’s strictly enforced.
You’ll need to purchase an All-Zone fare. Buy a ticket from the machine at the MAX station, or from any neighborhood ticket outlet.
Trains run between 5 a.m. and midnight, to and from the airport, with 15 minute frequency between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
From downtown, the trip to PDX takes only 38 minutes.
It's easy to roll your luggage onboard, thanks to MAX's low floors.
We’ll drop you off at the terminal, just steps from Baggage Claim.
On your return trip, follow the signs to the light rail station. You can buy tickets and get service information in the lobby.
Next time you’re heading out of town, why not take the train to the plane?
